This is the kind of Mom-thing that all of us dread, yet know it will happen. Its the kind of thing that requires us to make clear, wise decisions at a time when we are operating on unknown/untested reserves because it feels like our heart is in our throat and just 5 minutes ago everything was fine, our precious child was fine.Lavender Lemonadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17341721408895260805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348024911170290265.post-81371130903637972742008-06-10T11:59:00.000-05:002008-06-10T11:59:00.000-05:00Loretta, You made me laugh...yes, that certainly s...Loretta, You made me laugh...yes, that certainly sounds like a bad idea!

TFF, I'm glad they didn't do anything to his eye. I busted my eyelid open when I was 19 and I flat refused stitches because there was NO WAY they were getting that close to my eye with a needle. The Fearless Freakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18060653763011412692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348024911170290265.post-9044844871761457282008-06-09T00:24:00.000-05:002008-06-09T00:24:00.000-05:00Oh my goodness, Linda! It sounds like Dema was a trooper for his stitches, and I hope he heals quickly.

I was about Dema's age when I had to get 8 stitches on a facial wound just beneath my left eye, and while I don't remember getting the stitches, I do remember why I got them, and my brother and I never used curtain rods to sword fight again...Lorettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04408300840672725188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348024911170290265.post-87148407487497384352008-06-08T01:41:00.000-05:002008-06-08T01:41:00.000-05:00CV, What a perfect way to describe it! Now that they're teen/pre-teen I really, really wish I could keep them close by (forever). It is very hard for me to let them go/grow. I know that I have to (obviously) but it is still difficult. "It hurts my heart" is the best way to explain it, I guess.Lisa -- Cravin' Veggieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06935023507613808907noreply@blogger.com
